Expectations of Steering Committee Past Chair

• Provides guidance and support to Chair in the execution of the Chair’s duties
• Serves on the Steering Committee as a full voting member for one (1) year after retiring as Chair
• Supports the vision for the organization that is agreed to by the Steering Committee, shared with the community and used to measure all activities of the Council
• Helps the Council implement its Mission Statement and Objectives
• Shows a passion for the activities the Council elects to pursue.
• Maintains a neutral position on political, economic, and civic activities, following the guidelines of the Endorsements Committee where applicable.
• May chair a team or committee if mutually agreed upon by the Steering Committee
• May be re-elected to serve additional one (1) year terms on the Steering Committee if approved by a majority of members present at a community meeting.
