Community Meeting Ground Rules
Updated May 10, 2004

Welcome to our community meeting. Please review these ground rules prior to participating in our discussions.

  1. Please make sure to sign-in on the official sign-in sheet located at the rear table. This will insure you receive all our announcements and future meeting times. Your information’s sole purpose is to notify you of MSIC’s events.
  2. Please raise your hand and stand up when called upon if you have a comment; wait for the facilitator to acknowledge you.
  3. If you are speaking publicly: please state your first name and what area you live in Montclair.
  4. Please do not speak over another member- you will be heard at some point in the meeting.
  5. Please do not shout or raise your voice in anger or to get your point across- we are all here to find solutions.
  6. Please adhere to the agenda timelines- we are under strict time constraints with the subject matter we have to cover, including any guest speakers. There will always be a time slot at the end of our agenda items for general comments.
  7. Please clean up after yourself: do not leave soda cans, food, or papers behind. The community has allowed us to use this space as a courtesy- please be considerate.
  8. Remember that The MSIC Council is a group of volunteers.
