The next Public Community Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 23rd, 2017. This will be a joint meeting with Montclair Safety and Improvement Council, North Hills Community Association and Piedmont Pines Neighborhood Association. Come meet the new Oakland Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick!

Oakland Firesafe Presentations

Mountain Blvd. Railroad Mural Project
In 2016 the MSIC is ready to take the next step in recognizing Montclair’s rich history by managing a mural project at the Mountain Trestle in the Montclair Village.
We are happy to report that donors have contributed and pledged $14,000 for the Mountain Blvd, Railroad Mural. Donations have ranged between $10 and $2,500. Please invite your friends and neighbors to make a contribution!

About the MSIC: The Montclair Safety and Improvement Council (MSIC) is a volunteer community advisory group to the City of Oakland, CA, whose purpose is to improve the quality of life in the greater Montclair area by promoting a variety of safety and lifestyle enhancements.
The MSIC is a Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) that encompasses the geographical boundaries of Oakland Police Department Beat 13Z.
Empowering organized neighborhoods in the greater Montclair area to address safety and other issues of importance to them is our primary goal. Both Montclair Organized Neighborhoods (MONs) and the MSIC concentrate on the Areas of Focus identified by our residents.
We encourage you to join us in our efforts to make the greater Montclair area a better place to live, work, shop, and enjoy.
